TEAM COMMITMENTS

Being a member of the performance team requires more commitment than just weekly classes. Below you will find the general rules and expectations of each of the different commitment pieces of the year.

SUMMER HOLIDAY INTENSIVE

In the last week of the Summer school holidays we hold an Intensive week for our Performance training program students. This week will be used as time for the team to get together before the year begins and prepare the students for the eisteddfod season. After the week is finished, students will be placed in the appropriate routines for their age and ability. The schedule for the week will be released in early January once teachers and choreographers are confirmed. This is a compulsory week for all performance team students. The cost of this week is included in your enrolment fee.

EISTEDDFOD IN-STUDIO & ON-STAGE REHEARSALS

Prior to our eisteddfod season we hold two compulsory eisteddfod rehearsals. This is where we see all of the elements of each routine come together including props, costumes & choreography. You will receive more detailed information closer to the date.

WEEKLY ATTENDANCE

All students must show full commitment to all enrolled classes. If a student continuously misses classes for reasons other than illness or emergencies they risk being removed from a routine.

EISTEDDFODS

All students must be available to compete at all eisteddfods throughout the year. If a student misses an eisteddfod due to any other reason than illness or emergency they may be removed from the routine for the rest of the season. This is at the discretion of the Director. We have this rule to ensure fairness to all students. Please understand this before committing and making plans around eisteddfod dates. When it comes to eisteddfod weekends, you are only required to be at the eisteddfod for your specific age group/s. We find out age group times and days closer to the eisteddfod. Please allocate the whole weekend to your schedule but know that you most likely will not be required for the whole weekend.
